- In what fields are Takiron Plates used?
Takiron Plates are used in a wide range of cutting-edge industrial fields, such as semiconductor manufacturing equipment, cleanrooms, and equipment covers. Please refer to the Applications.
- How are Takiron Plates made?
Takiron Plates are manufactured using three methods: extrusion, press lamination, and continuous press. For more details, please watch the Manufacturing method and Introduction video.
- What kind of product is Takiron Plate?
Takiron Plates offers a range of products suitable for various industrial fields, from standard products to high functional products with special features such as static-dissipative, flame retardant, impact resistance, and so on. For more detailed information, please refer to the About Takiron Plates.
- I want to know about the difference in flame resistance between Takiron Plates.
Please watch the Comparison Video of each product’s flammability.
- Where can I check the product sizes?
Please refer to pages 99 to 120 in the catalog.
- What is the strength of the base material when stress is applied after bonding PVC Takiron plates with Takibond No. 200?
When bonded, the strength is approximately 20% of the base material strength. As a reference, under optimal conditions for welding, the strength is approximately 80% of the base material strength.
- Is there a specified storage period for TAKIBOND No.200 in its unopened state?
Depending on the storage conditions, unopened TAKIBOND No.200 can be stored for about one year without issues.
- What is the recommended storage period after opening TAKIBOND No.200 while kept sealed?
It is recommended to use it up within 2-3 months after opening and sealing. The solvent may evaporate, causing a change in the mixture ratio and affecting the adhesive strength
- Is there a way to remove Takibond No. 200 from a vinyl chloride Takiron plate once it has been bonded?
TAKIBOND No.200 is a solvent-based adhesive that dissolves the surface layer to create a bond, it cannot be removed and restored to its original surface condition. If removal is necessary, you may forcefully remove it by driving a wedge into the bonding area, depending on the shape and bonding situation. Please be cautious of the risk of cracking or chipping.
- How do I bond Takiron’s PVC Plates with TAKIBOND No. 200?
“If dirt, fingerprints, or oil adhere to the bonding surface, the bonding strength will decrease. So, please wipe the surface with methyl alcohol. TAKIBOND No. 200 achieves higher bonding strength with fewer gap.
Typically, after positioning, use a syringe or brush to inject the adhesive into the bonding interface using capillary action. Apply Takibond No. 200 evenly without over-applying (use a moderate amount). For corners of boxes requiring high strength, using Takiron adhesive rods (△-shaped or □-shaped) will enhance bonding strength.”- I would like to purchase Takiron plates.
